5/15/20 Update
Dear SHECP Community,
I would like to share exciting news regarding our SHECP 2020 Summer Internships. We recently shared the dates for our Academic Program, as well as the schedule for the Virtual Opening Conference.
Our Governing Board and staff have been working diligently to help address challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure the safety of SHECP interns and partner organizations, we adapted our Academic Program to a remote environment. Assignments and activities will take place virtually, such as group discussions, presentations, and more. Our detailed Academic Program Guide describes the different events and assignments that will take place during the summer. We will release additional details shortly.
Providing a virtual space for reflection, research, vocational exploration, and community building activities presents a great opportunity for us to expand our vision for the academic reach of SHECP to go beyond the summer. We are very excited to see this new program format running and we look forward to the positive experiences our students will have and the impact they will make in our communities.
