About the book:

"Jessie L. Moore presents six key practices that foster engaged learning, grounding them in relevant research and offering strategies for applying them in varied higher education contexts. As a director of an international research center on engaged learning, Moore has worked with dozens of multi-institutional, faculty/staff research teams studying engaged learning across higher education. Drawing on that research, she distilled the six strategies that continue to emerge as key practices for fostering engaged learning, in and beyond the classroom. In this book, readers will find examples of how to enact these practices with the students they supervise, teach, advise, or mentor. Those who lead professional development activities for others on campus will appreciate the author’s recommendations and resources for supporting colleagues’ adoption of the practices." – Elon Center for Engaged Learning
