Explore your professional and personal interests this summer through the SHECP Summer Internship Program, a community-focused learning experience. SHECP’s rewarding, eight-week program pairs motivated students with nonprofit organizations that work to diminish poverty in communities across the country.

This opportunity is open to students from member institutions in all majors and career paths. If accepted, you will be matched with an agency that best fits your interests. Located in urban and rural sites, interns focus on a wide variety of poverty-related areas, including: Community & Individual Services; Education & Youth Outreach; Health & Wellness; and Law & Business.

Beyond gaining valuable work experience, you will live as a cohort with fellow interns who are working within the community you serve. SHECP provides housing, travel to the Closing Conference, and a stipend to support living expenses.

We are starting to line up 2023 internship locations! What to see what organizations are offering internships through SHECP? Check out the list below or click the link to read more about the specific internship opportunities. Starting in November, we will be updating the site at least once a week.
