Life Pieces to Masterpieces in Washington, D.C., provides African American males in impoverished neighborhoods with opportunities to overcome the challenges associated with living in underserved areas. Life Pieces helps these males to develop a healthy sense of direction so that they can positively influence their communities. The organization provides academic and creative expression programs, while also making workshops available that prepare high school students for the college application process. Through these programs, these males are given the tools that are necessary for them to reach their potential. Life Pieces to Masterpieces is a partner with the Shepherd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty, and to find out more about what they have been doing lately, please click below.
